Nobody likes dealing with the IRS and it can often be a very difficult task, especially if you are attempting to resolve a complex tax issue by yourself. The job of the IRS is to collect money. If you are unsure of your rights, don’t have extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations and don’t understand the administrative procedures of the IRS, you could end up paying more in tax, interest and penalty than is required by law.
